3 Channel Video / 16:17 min / Color / Sound / 2017
“Peripatetics (Athens)” examines the idea of wandering, the native and the foreign, home and exile, revealing documents as fragments of the Athenian cityscape and human geography. Lines of Sappho (translated by Zervos) about the return of Sappho’s émigré brother echo the contemporary condition of longing for home and homecoming.
“Peripatetics (Athens)” was first presented in a solo show at the Hellenic American Union, curated by Ira Papadopoulou.
“Peripatetics (Athens)” was supported by NEON.
